Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, January 17, 2012, Reba L. Turner, 90.
Mrs. Turner, a native of Taylor County, GA, taught school in Butler, Georgia and later in Richmond county schools. She retired after 35 years of teaching. Mrs. Turner enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Family members include son, Carl Parker of Gainesville, GA; sister, Earlene Turner Brown; nephews: Mark Turner, John Turner and Michael Turner, nieces: Elizabeth Turner Simpson, Lori Turner Taunton. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. J.H. and Mrs. Ruth Montgomery Turner and her brothers: Jackie Turner, James R. Turner and Douglas Turner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. John Pinson officiating. Interment will be in Pine Level Cemetery, Mauk, GA Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate United
Methodist Church Building Fund, 3185 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends following the service until 7:00 P.M. at
