Rebecca Bostick, Retired US Army Chief Warrant Officer III

Rebecca Bostick, daughter of Macon Latel Bostick and Bernice Stanford Bostick of Columbus, Georgia, died peacefully at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Georgia on November 2, 2024. Born in 1952 at Fort Hood, Texas, she grew up in Columbus, Georgia and joined the U.S. Army in 1972. She served honorably in U.S. Embassies in Canada, Mexico City, the Dominican Republic, Romania, and the Congo and made lifelong friends around the world. She retired in 1993 and moved to Augusta, Georgia, to care for her mother in her final years. 

Rebecca was known as an animal lover and did volunteer work teaching English as a second language. She was a faithful member of Martinez Baptist Church, the Stallings Island Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Harmony River Chorus. She was a resident of St. John Towers in Augusta.

She is survived by her siblings: Susanne Bostick Allen (Mark) of Sarasota, Florida and Macon Latel Bostick, Jr. of Upatoi, Georgia, Roberta Bostick Wilder (Rolston) of Evans, Georgia, three loving nieces and nephews, and three grand-nieces and one grand-nephew. 

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
