Rebekah Besnard Bowers

Augusta, GA –Entered into rest Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her residence, Rebekah Besnard Bowers, 33, wife of Bennett Peyton Randolph Bowers. Rebekah peacefully went home to be with her heavenly father. Her courage and faith are an inspiration that touched many lives.

Mrs. Bowers was a native of Covington, La. She was a 1995 graduate from Saint Scholastica Academy in Covington, La. Mrs. Bowers was a Summa Cum Laude 1999 graduate of Spring Hill College where she majored in both Literature and History. Mrs. Bowers was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and the Augusta Country Club. Mrs. Bowers was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Family members in addition to her husband include, daughter, Ava Elinor Bowers, parents, Michael and Belinda Brouillette Besnard of Covington LA, brothers, Stephen Besnard of Covington, LA and Matthew Besnard of Charleston, SC, parents in law, Dr. Ronald W. and Nancy Bowers. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Vincent and Lucille Brouillette of Covington, La.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Ragan officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trinity MOPS and the Legacy Garden Club.

A Vigil service will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 6:30 PM at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the Vigil until 8:00 PM.
