Mrs. Regina (Gina) W. Blanchard

Mrs. Regina (Gina) W. Blanchard, 96, entered into rest on Friday, June 11, in Augusta, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Washington, Georgia.
Mrs. Blanchard and her husband Lewis were married for 58 years. She was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Petaluma, California, for 40 years where she served as president of the Women’s Fellowship, a Church Historian, Sunday School teacher and director, was active in the Corinthian Circle, and was a community volunteer. She had many talents including gardening, reading, sewing, quilting, cooking, and writing and she was an animal advocate. She and her husband hosted many foreign exchange students from Japan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and mentor mother to many young women in her church and community. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Marcia Delany and her husband Jack Delany of Washington, Georgia; her son Chris Blanchard and his wife Priscilla Blanchard of Running Springs, California; five grandchildren, Regina Gay of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Joanna Delany of Cayce, South Carolina, Lewis Blanchard of Los Angeles, California, Christopher Blanchard of Redlands, California, and Susan Blanchard of San Francisco, California; and two great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 100 Liberty St., Washington, Georgia, 30673 and the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter, 358 Brown Drive, Washington, Georgia, 30673.
