Augusta, GA – Entered into rest January 13, 2014, Mrs. Rena Swails Mobley, 77, wife of Mr. Ralph W. Mobley.
Mrs. Mobley was a native of Andrews, SC but lived in Augusta. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta where she served as a deacon and a greeter. Mrs. Mobley worked as an accountant at Deerfield Specialty Papers Inc. for 41 years. She was a volunteer at the Joseph M. Still Burn Unit at Doctors Hospital and numerous other organizations.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Russell V. Mobley (Teri) and Rex M. Mobley (Nancy); grandchildren: Evan R. Mobley, Arden C. Mobley and Madeline H. Mobley; and siblings: Imo Cantley and Lendel McCrea of Kingstree, SC, Cynthia Boland, of Sunset Beach, NC, Willa Jenkins and Windola Pitts of Andrews, SC. Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by her parents: James Acue Swails and Waver Parsons Swails and brothers: James Acue Swails, Jr. and Hartwell Swails.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 11:00 A.M.in the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church of Augusta with Dr. Greg DeLoach and Bart Grey officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Church Garden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Augusta at PO Box 14489 Augusta, GA 30919 or to the Golden Harvest Food Bank at 3310 Commerce Drive, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the Church Rotunda.
