Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, September 27, 2016, Mr. Richard A. “Rick” Edenfield, 61, husband of 41 years to Mrs. Diane Edenfield.

Mr. Edenfield was a native of Harrisburg and a lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a 1973 graduate of Augusta Richmond Academy and a member of Central Christian Church. Mr. Edenfield was a loving and devoted husband and uncle. He was an avid bass fisherman, enjoyed hunting and was always the life of the party. Mr. Edenfield enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known as “Moon Pie” among his friends.

Family members in addition to his wife include sister: Darlene Jones and husband the late Louis Jones; brothers-in-law: Richard Rodgers and wife Sharon, Charlie Rodgers and wife Beth, Jeff Rodgers and wife Camille and Mack Rodgers and wife Lynn; sister-in-law: Ginger Taylor and husband Rikki; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who he loved spending time with. Mr. Edenfield was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son Rev. Larron Pilgrim officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
