Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 3, 2010, Richard A. Smith, 55, husband of Donna Smith.

Mr. Smith was a resident of Richmond County, an active member of Pine View Baptist Church, and a Lieutenant with the Augusta Richmond County Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a huge UGA fan.

Family members in addition to his wife include: a brother, David Smith (Komiko) of Brooklyn, NY, brothers-in-law: Calvin and wife Patsy Willis of North Augusta, SC, Bobby and wife Myrtle Parks of San Antonio TX and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Pine View Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Interment to follow at Parksville Baptist Church Cemetery in Parksville, South Carolina. Pallbearers and honorary escort will be members of the Augusta Richmond County Fire Department.
