Blythe, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, April 6, 2011, Mr. Richard A. Wallace, 68, husband of Mrs. Shirley J. Wallace.
Mr. Wallace was born in Cobden, IL and resided in Blythe, GA. He retired from the Army after 20 years as a Master Sergeant. Mr. Wallace loved woodworking, gardening, motorcycle riding and competition shooting.
Family members in addition to his wife include: daughter, Tracey Kemp (Richard Cain) of Blythe, GA; grandchildren: Tina Buchter (Paul), Kelly Kemp, David Kemp; great grandchild, Bradley Buchter; brother; Mike Wallace (Mary) of Carbondale, IL; and sister, Mary Duty (Dewayne) of Dongola, IL.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to EAMC Fisher House
Building 280 Fisher House Road, Fort Gordon, Georgia 30905-5650.
The family will receive friends one hour following the service.
