Richard Paul Anderson, Jr

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, September 7, 2024, Richard Paul Anderson, Jr. 36.

Family members include his son: Hayden Anderson Youmans; mother: Sheila Dicken; father: Richard Paul Anderson, Sr. (Belinda); siblings: Rachael Anderson Brooks (Joel), Timothy Drae Underwood, Samuel Seth Underwood (Tina), Cameron Holland and Francis Gabbie Mohammed (Mustafa) and grandmother: Melva B. Anderson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Haskell and Bettie Dicken and paternal grandparents: Lonnie Gene Anderson and Ruth Butler.

When Paul walked into a room he owned it. It wasn’t his obvious stature; it was his larger-than-life personality and radiant smile that caught people’s attention. Anyone that met Paul knew his love for conversation was boundless. He loved to talk about God, music, food, and politics. Some might say he liked to push the boundaries a bit with his debates. Mention football, especially his beloved Georgia Bulldogs, and you’d be in for a lengthy, passionate discussion. Not only did he love the dawgs, but he also loved the Falcons and Hawks. Above all, Paul’s wavering devotion to his family and friends, along with his vibrant spirit, were beyond reproach and will be deeply missed.

The funeral service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at The Building Worship Center with Pastor Chris Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.  The pallbearers will be James Floyd, CJ Smith, Chris Knight, Jake Murphy, Shane Marquardt, Henry Braxton, Charlie Price and Jacob Hall.

The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
