Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 25, 2013, Mr. Richard “Dick” Giles Westbrook, Jr., 87, husband of the late Mrs. Dorothy “Dotsy” Kelly Westbrook.
Dick was born and raised in the Wrightsville Beach/Carolina Beach area. He served his country during World War II and the Korean War. Dick loved his family and was a proud member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with the Forest Hills men’s group, shooting his age three times.
Family members include daughters: Suzanne Nelson (Brad) of Norcross, GA and Jane Westbrook Smith of Lexington, GA; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Westbrook was preceded in death by his son: Giles Westbrook; daughter: Julie Dahdah and son-in-law: Rob Smith.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Ragan celebrant. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park with Military Honors.
