Rich Gabor
Augusta, GA – Richard Lee Gabor, 68, passed away June 14, 2017, at University Hospital.
Rich was born in Morgantown, West Virginia but had lived in Augusta for the last 28 years. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church and retired from Bechtel at SRS in 2002. Rich once served as president of the EAA Chapter 172 and spent many years at the Pea Patch in Blythe, GA building and flying experimental aircraft.
Rich is survived by his wife: Kathy Gabor; son: Ryan Gabor; step children: Adam (Ashley) Harris and Amanda (Blake) Rice; grandchildren: Macy Harris, Cara Anne Harris, Wiley Harris and Lake Rice; sister: Phyllis Atwood; and brother: Jerry Gabor. He is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Florine Gabor; and brothers: John Gabor and Bill Gabor.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. David McKinley officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Warren Life Foundation, 3203 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel.
