Richard Allen Wood

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the age of 82.

Richard was born in Deep Valley, Pennsylvania, but spent much of his life in Lake Milton, Ohio and Hephzibah, Georgia. He worked in the steel mills then attended Youngstown State University where he acquired a degree in nursing. He worked as a registered nurse in Warren, Ohio and most recently at Georgia Regional where he retired.

He will forever be missed and remembered by his family members which include his daughters: Christine Penza (Bob), Darla McLain (Mike); grandchildren: Marcus Penza (Meredith), Dante Penza (Payton), Nick Penza, Sydney McLain, Jadyn McLain; brother: Kenneth Woods and former wife: Jennie Wood (mother of his daughters). He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Wood and Juanita Wood, grandmother, Emma Wood, and brother, Larry Woods (Marie).

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12:00 P.M, at Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Hwy, Hundred, WV 26575.
