Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, August 23, 2024, Richard Alan “Rick” Bowen, 65, loving husband of 32 years of Lisa Bowen.
Rick was born in Wadsworth, OH. He worked in car sales for 32 years and was most recently employed at Jim Hudson Lexus. He truly loved his job and had such a passion for helping people. His customers became friends and family to him. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, cruising, going fishing, visiting Panama City, and singing. He loved and guided his family as a true man of God. One of his greatest joys in life was spending the past four years being G-Pa to his two granddaughters that were his pride and joy.
Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Melissa Davenport (Madison), Raven Elliott (Matthew) and Tristen Elliott; grandchildren: Willow Davenport and Tallulah Davenport; parents: Rev. Daniel and Patricia Bowen; brother: Bill Bowen (Cathy); sister: Terre Strozier (Daniel); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Edward Daniel Bowen.
The funeral service will be held Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Johnson, John Fetter, Mike Hutton, Steve Strozier, Bill Bowen and Daniel Strozier. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Jim Hudson Lexus.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
