Robin Everett “Rob” Ridlehoover, age 59, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home in Martinez, GA, with his family by his side.
Robin was a native of Augusta, GA and was a retired Quality Verifier from Bridgestone in Graniteville, SC. He was a dedicated husband and father and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family cherished his playful sense of humor and commitment to his faith. He loved spending time with his family and was devoted to his children, supporting both of them in all their endeavors. They truly were his pride and joy. He had such a zeal for life and enjoyed playing his guitar, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, playing a round of golf, and whittling. He loved family trips to the mountains and walking on the beach. Robin kept an unwavering positive attitude, even in the face of incredible suffering, which helped sustain his family through his long and difficult illness, especially in the final months of his life. He will be extremely missed by so many.
Robin is survived by his wife of 40 years, Connie; his son, Michael; and his daughter, Monica. Robin is also survived by his sisters: Kathy Sutton and her husband, Bryan; Judy Keefe and her husband, Bill; June Zurkin (all of Augusta, GA); and Gina Mason and her husband, Warren, of St. Joseph, MI; Sisters-in-law: Sandy Rooks and her husband, Donny; Vickie Petrie and her husband, Charles (all of Martinez, GA); Brother-in-law: Art Wadford of Salado, TX; many special nieces and nephews; and his family in Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmie and Everett Ridlehoover; his brother, Mark Ridlehoover; his sister, Linda Ziglar; and his mother-in-law, Maria Kisielewski.
The family is sincerely grateful for all those who prayed for Robin and supported him throughout his illness. A special thanks to Pruitt Health Hospice for their love and support during this difficult time, most especially to Lisa, Hal, and Genevieve.
