Robert A. “Sandy” Holliday
Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, December 17, 2020, Robert A. “Sandy” Holliday, 70, husband of 49 years to Brenda Holliday.
Sandy was a native of Augusta and grew up attending Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of Butler High School and worked for Johnson Motor Company as a Certified Master Mechanic for several years. Later he was the owner and operator of Holliday’s Auto Service. Sandy loved his family and friends, especially sharing stories and country music with them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, having fish fries and spending time on the river.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Bert Holliday (Kim), Jeannie Holliday, Lisa Holliday, Terilyn Holliday-Portillo (Jose); grandchildren: Luke Johnson, Jessica Mabli, Hanley Holliday, Justin Boone, Hayden Holliday, Louann Holliday-Portillo and Raelyn Holliday-Portillo; great-grandchildren: Jake Ledbetter and Jaxon Mabli and all of the River family. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.E. Bum and Bea Holliday and brother, Eddie Holliday.
The family extends a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Doctor’s Hospital ICU, especially Kendyl.
The funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Davis and Rev. Larry Hubbard officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the church.
