Augusta, GA - Robert Beauford Swann (Bob), beloved father of Russell and Ryan Swann, entered into rest on April 27, 2014, at his residence in Augusta at the age of 49.

Bob was born on October 13, 1964, to the late Walter E. Swann, Jr. and Annie Laura Hillman Swann. He attended Augusta schools, graduating from Richmond Academy. He attended Georgia Southern University and Augusta Technical College where he earned an Associate’s degree. He had a long career as an electrician for major industry in the area. He was a loyal father, brother, and friend. He was a great fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. One of his great pleasures was going to the lake, enjoying water sports, camping, and time with friends. He was also a lover of dogs. His faithful King Charles Spaniel Rusty was at his side at his passing.

In addition to his sons, he is survived by two brothers, Richard E. Swann (Lee Ann Caldwell), and Stanley (Stan) W. Swann in Augusta; a nephew, Richard Caldwell Swann (Whitney); a great-nephew, Price Swann, and great-niece, Sally Swann of Athens; and many cousins.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Saturday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Robert Fain officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be dear friends Richard (Chud) Fender, Henry Audett, Ricky Morris, and Donnie Powell. The family will visit with friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the CSRA Humane Society, 525 Wood Street, Augusta, GA 30904.
