TSgt. Robert Elmer Blume, US Airforce (Ret.)
Martinez, GA – TSgt. Robert Elmer Blume, 91, was born in Mellen, Wisconsin on November 22, 1928, died peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2020 at his home.
After graduating high school, Robert worked in his parents’ business, before joining the US Airforce in 1952. While stationed in Germany Robert met Renate Bolte Blume, the love of his life, they were married for 61 years. He retired in 1975 and settled down in Martinez, GA to raise his family. Robert was kind and gentle and adored his family.
Family members include his wife: Renate Bolte Blume; two wonderful sons: Mike Blume and wife Chris, Richard Blume and wife Michele; grandsons: Nick Blume, Patrick Blume and wife Adrienne, Matthew Blume and wife Allie and Grant Blume; granddaughter: Emma Blume; and great-grandson: Charlie Blume. Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Mamie Cregor Blume and Elmer Clarence Blume; and his sister: Beverly Blume Kuwik.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Father Theodore Agba celebrant. The family requests masks to be worn.
