Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, March 18, 2022, Robert "Bob" Reid Bold, 74.
Bob was born in Augusta in 1947 and spent his entire life in the area. Bob was fun loving and one of a kind. He never met a stranger and loved to help people. He was a best friend to many and was always willing to speak what was on his mind. He enjoyed tinkering with projects around the house and watching the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He especially enjoyed spending time at the beach, on his boat at the lake and laying in the sun or floating in the water. He loved his family and was an incredible "papa" to his four grandchildren. He also took pride in making the best homemade french fries on Earth. He passed peacefully in the parking lot of Walmart, which is perhaps the way he would have wanted it.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Bold; children: Carol (Becky) Daly, and Robert (Rob) Bold; grandchildren: Jaret Daly, Kate Daly, Olan Daly, and Reid Bold; brothers: Hammond, and William (Bill); nephews: Randy, Bubba, Chris, and Hammond Jr., and nieces: Elizabeth Tudor, and Pam King. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Elizabeth Bold, and his nephew Robert Bold.
A service honoring Bob will be held on Friday, March 25th, 2022 at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
