Robert Zeyfang

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, Mr. Robert William Zeyfang, 92, loving husband of Mrs. Jane B. Zeyfang.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Bob began work with EI DuPont in 1951 and moved to Augusta in 1952 with the initial construction and start of the Savannah River Plant in Aiken, SC. He retired from the site in 1995. Bob met Jane Bailey at St John UMC in Augusta and they were married in 1956.

The Family wishes to thank the loving care of Caregivers Stacie Ferrell, Janice Brandon, Yolanda Jackson, Jackie Grant and the hospice care by AGAPE Hospice.

Family members in addition to his wife Jane include his sons: Rob Zeyfang (Terri) of Evans, GA, David Zeyfang (Linda) of Summerfield, NC; daughter: Lynn Garland (John) of Isle of Palms, SC; grandchildren: Matthew and Anna Zeyfang and Bailey and Samantha Garland.

The memorial service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John United Methodist Church with Rev. Jenny Anderson and Chaplain Jack Foley officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of St John UMC.
