Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Select Specialty, Mr. Robert Sheahan 74, wife Jackie Wallace Sheahan.
Mr. Sheahan was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a graduate of Boys Catholic High, a 1959 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he played football. He retired as Vice President of Kellogg’s Snack Division. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Irish American Heritage Society, founding member of Aquinas Alumni Association and a member of the U. S. Marines Reserves.
Family members include his wife; Jackie W. Sheahan, daughters; Angie Sheahan of Martinez, Ann Marie Howard, husband (Rob) of Charlotte, NC.; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Sheahan, son; the late CDR Michael D. Sheahan, U. S. Navy and Col. Richard W. Ellison, M.D., U. S. Army, wife (Kristy); nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Greg Porterfield, officiating.
Memorials may be made to: Cmdr. Michael D. Sheahan Scholarship fund.
