Martinez, Ga. – Entered into rest Friday, August 7, 2009, at his residence, Mr. Robert Cary Congleton, 38, husband of Michelle D. Congleton. Mr. Congleton was born in Alexandria, Virginia, but was a resident of the Augusta area for the last 34 years. He worshipped his family and loved spending time with his daughter.
Family members in addition to his wife include a daughter: August Congleton of Martinez; his parents: Cary and Mallory Congleton of Martinez; brother: the late John Congleton; mother-in-law: Deborah Jordan; sisters-in-law: Holly Lynch and Tonya Sprouse; uncle: Bobby Voydetich; aunts: Kay Martin, Tammy Lambert, Karla Barnes and husband David; nephews: Chase Ellison, Michael Congleton, and Jacob Congleton; cousins: Scheryl Withers, Mike Faucette and Jamie Burg; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 5:30 in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Don Prosser officiating.
Memorials may be made to Education Fund for August Congleton, c/o Wachovia Bank, 3535 Wheeler Rd., Augusta, GA 30909.
