Augusta, Ga. – Mr. Robert Edmund “Bob” Visintainer, 81, beloved husband of 58 years to Beatrice M. Visintainer, gone to glory on January 1, 2012 at MCG with his entire family by his side. A native of Uhrichsville, Ohio, Bob retired from the A&P Tea Co. with 32 years of service and moved to the Augusta area in 1979. He was a pastor and elder in the Alleluia Community and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend to many, and devoted servant of Jesus. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and helping those in need.

He was father to: Karin Phillips (Bill), Robert J. Visintainer (Kathy), David Visintainer (Mary), Joyce Garner (Craig), John Visintainer (Becky), Paul Visintainer (Heather); Mary Bea Jackson (Joe); 27 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of Augusta. He is survived by his sister: Joyce Choquette (Tom) of Cincinnati, Ohio and was preceded in death by his sister Alice Palmer, of Dennison, Ohio.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Augusta. Burial will follow at Alleluia Cemetery in Dearing, GA. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Joseph Church, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
