Augusta, GA - Entered into rest on Monday, April 14, 2014 in Branson, Missouri, Mr. Robert Franklin Heishman, husband of Freda Rose Heishman.

Mr. Heishman was a native of Woodstock, VA, but lived in Augusta for the last 25 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a Sergeant Major from the US Army with 21 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for many years. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where he belonged to the Lutheran men’s group and sang in the early service choir. He was a 50-year Scottish Rite Mason, Knight Commander Court of Honour Red Cap recipient, Past Master of Webb Lodge #166 and had dual membership with Cassia Lodge #142, AF & AM in Woodstock, VA. He loved to play golf. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Additional family members include a daughter: Gale Heishman Cogswell ; son: Robert Franklin Heishman Jr. and wife Jean ; grandchildren: Janine Ann Heishman, Glenda Louise Heishman, Paul Robert Heishman, Dr. Alexis Cogswell Schnoor and husband Eric; sister: Linda Cecil and husband Ralph; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 12:10 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection with Pastor David Hunter officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the US Army Honor Guard and the Webb Lodge #166, F & AM.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church fellowship hall from 11:00 until the time of service. A Masonic service will be held at 10:40.
