Robert Schmeltz

North Augusta, SC – Entered into rest on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Mr. Robert George Schmeltz, 78.

Robert “Dr. Bob” Schmeltz was born in Yonkers, NY to George and Doris Schmeltz in 1944 and grew up in College Point, Queens. Raising his family in the beautiful North Shores of Long Island, and subsequently retiring from private practice as a clinical psychologist, Bob enjoyed traveling throughout the world, spending time with his kids and grandkids, trying new cuisine and visiting with friends. He was deeply loved by his children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed.

Family members include his children: Matthew Schmeltz and Amanda Schmeltz Ventura (Christian); grandchildren: Michael, Zachary and Ava Elizabeth Ventura. Robert was preceded in death by his parents George and Doris Schmeltz and sister: Ann Woods.

The funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Almeter as celebrant. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
