Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital, Mr. Robert V. Snyder, 67, husband of Heidemarie T. Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was a native of Chicago, IL, where he attended Southern Illinois University until he was drafted into the U. S. Army during Vietnam. He spent the majority of his working career as a contracting supervisor for McCollough Contracting Company. He retired from the shipping department of Monsanto/MAU. He was a great supporter of the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs.
Family members include his wife Heidemarie T. Snyder of Augusta; daughters: Lisa Johnson (James), and Tina Fischer; grandsons: John, Jacob, Joshua and Taylor; two great-grandchildren; brother: Jeffrey Snyder; niece: Jennifer Snyder Chaffin and grand nephews: Garrett and Zachary Chaffin.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet with Pastor David Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Loy, Rick Cadle, Larry Riley, Jason Rider, Michael Toney and William Sheehan IV. Ernest Smith will be an honorary pallbearer.
