Augusta, GA - Ronald Charles Walling, 87, entered into eternal rest on December 3, 2016 at home surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Rosemary Walling. He is survived by his dear friend, Mary Muir, sister, Marilyn Wargo, brother, Marvin Walling, and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Walling.
Ronald was born March 23, 1929 in Streator, IL. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He held positions in a number of companies before retiring. In retirement, Ronald was very active in Habitat for Humanity, Cursillo and the Kairos Prison Ministry.
Special thanks are given to the nurses, doctors and friends who cared for Ronald in his final days.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 11 am at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cursillo, Kairos Prison Ministry, or St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
