Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, June 16, 2022, Ronald “Ronnie” Philip Campbell II, age 54.
Ronnie was born in 1967 in Syracuse, NY. He attended Westside High School and Georgia Southern University and Recording Studio Workshop in Ohio. He was the owner of the first Satellite TV store in Augusta called Satellite Masters Home Entertainment. He also worked with Campbell Insurance Services, Inc. which was a family business.
His passion was music. He wrote and recorded songs with his band, Boss Pyzyr. He played bass guitar and was a top player in Game of War. He collected NFL jerseys, Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons stuff, old “Kiss” memorabilia, Masters, and Batman too. Ronnie loved making his traditional Christmas eve lasagna for the family. Also, he loved all his little fur babies from the past and his last one, JoJo, who now has a new “daddy”, Chris Canale.
Ronnie fought a courageous battle against cancer, for a while it seemed like he won. He never asked “why me?”. He was so brave and now is in Jesus’ arms. He leaves so many friends and cousins in the Augusta and Syracuse areas. He leaves all his game players and friends in Game of War. Too numerous to name everyone.
Family members include his mother: Patricia Pace Campbell; sisters: Cathi Campbell (Sean) Neville and Cindi Campbell Hays; girlfriend: Kelli Bennett; aunt: Barbara Bell; nieces: Elizabeth (Ryan) Weinberg, Gabrielle Neville, Madison Weinberg, and Arya Weinberg; cousins: Brian Bell, Sofia Bell, and Brandi Bell; half-sisters and half-brothers: Kimberly, Samantha and Thomas Campbell of Syracuse, NY. He is preceded in death by his father: Ronald Philip Campbell; maternal grandparents: Mildred Bennett Pace and Ralph Vincent Pace; and paternal grandparents: Anne Catherine Campbell and Thomas Campbell.
A very special thanks to his sister Cathi, aunt Bobbi, brother-in-law Sean, girlfriend Kelli, papa Larry Wallace, and friends Janet Pierce, Rusty Palmer, Lisa Meyer, and Chris Canale.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
