Augusta, GA - Ronald Eugene Hill, age 66, of Augusta, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2013.
Ron was born in Fairfield, IL, and was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his bachelor’s degree from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.
He served in the United States Air Force for 24 years before retiring in 1994 as a Master Sergeant. He received many honors for his distinguished service. He then worked at General Dynamics for 10 years.
He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. He led men’s groups with Bible Study Fellowship, and taught Bible studies for adults with special needs. In countless ways throughout his life, he joyfully served God and others. He loved sports, golfing, music, and Oklahoma Sooner football.
He leaves a legacy of being a faithful husband, a loving and sacrificial father, and a caring grandpa to 14 grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Kaye Hill. In addition, he leaves behind, Rhonda and John Hardy of North Augusta, Clint and Dianna Hill of Bartlesville, OK, Rhonae and Steve Stodola of Brevard, NC, Rhonda and Chris Sturch of Durant, OK, Jaydeane Olsen of Augusta, Clark and Rhiannon Hill of Huntington Beach, CA, and Curtis and Shawna Hill of Newark, DE.
He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Eugene Hill, his mother, Floretta Pearl Hill, and his brother, Ricky Hill.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 12:00 Noon, at Victory Baptist Church with Dr. Curtis Hill and Dr. R. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
