Augusta, GA – Mr. Ronald K. (Ron) Cenate, 64, entered into rest Friday, September 16, 2011, at the VA Medical Center, Augusta, GA.
Mr. Cenate was retired from Nutra Sweet after 21 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. He served 1 tour in Vietnam and received 2 Army Commendation Ribbons and a Vietnam Service Medal. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cenate was an avid DAWG fan.
Survivors include his father and mother, Carey and Anne Hembree; a son, Brian Keith Cenate, Arlington, TX; a sister, Connie Durham, Augusta; and one niece, April Durham.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park with military honors.
Charitable contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1384 Greene St., Augusta, GA 30901.
