With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Maus on May 18, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on April 5, 1948, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Ronald was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

Ronald’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family and faith. He was a devoted husband to Angela Maus, with whom he shared 54 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised two children: Kathy Holliman and Lynn Maus, who were his pride and joy. Ronald was also a loving grandfather to his cherished grandchild, Ashlyn Holliman, with whom he shared many treasured moments.

A man of many talents, Ronald proudly served 20 years in the United States Army, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. During his service, he was part of the 29th and 2nd Signal Brigades at Fort Gordon; the 41st Signal Battalion at Camp Red Cloud, South Korea; the USACC-Japan Signal Battalion in Japan; the USACC Agency CZ in the Panama Canal Zone; the 11th Signal Group at Fort Huachuca, Arizona; and the USA Stratcom Long Lines Battalion in Taiwan. After retiring from the military, he worked at Club Car and Westinghouse Savannah River Site, eventually retiring in 2005. Throughout his career, he was remembered as a hardworking, detail-oriented, and compassionate individual. He excelled at training others and consistently brought dedication and care to every field he entered.

Outside of his professional life, Ronald was known for greeting everyone with a big smile and saying, “Have a blessed day.” Whether he was walking the neighborhood, spending time with family, or working on hot rods, Ronald’s enthusiasm and generosity were evident in all that he did. His spirit of giving and his warm, welcoming nature touched the lives of many.

Ronald’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a dedicated member of Living Stream Ministries, he found strength and solace in his beliefs, and his faith guided him throughout his journey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Maus; his children, Kathy Holliman (Grady Holliman) and Lynn Maus (Donald Scott); his grandchild, Ashlyn Holliman (Luis Pedroza); his siblings, Nancy Maltby, Fay Hazelbauer, Robert Maus, Betty Gunther, Mary Goodell, Jane Heinzelman, Richard Maus, and Roger Maus; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Gordon and Viola Maus, and his sister, Sandra Maus.

A private service was held for immediate family to honor the memory of Ronald Joseph Maus. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and encourages all who knew him to celebrate his remarkable life in their own special way. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Living Stream Ministries or the American Cancer Society.

Ronald Joseph Maus will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
