Grovetown, GA – Ronald L. Mays, Jr., 46, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Heartland Hospice of Augusta.
Mr. Mays was born in Frankfurt, Germany, was a graduate of Hephzibah High School and a cook at Gracewood State School and Hospital.
Mr. Mays is the beloved son of Gerda L. Mays and the late Ronald L. Mays, Sr. He will be missed by his brothers: Pete Mays (Vivian), Jimmie L. Mays; sister: Tammy L. Swift (Stan); his nieces and nephews: Kimberly Mays, Jessica Mays, Bryan L. Rogers, Meagan Rogers, Kayla Mays and his great nieces and nephew: Kaitlyn Lane and Owen Henry and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his life partner, Tommy Arthur and two stepchildren: Courtney and Austin Arthur.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Michael Lubinsky officiating. A reception will be held after the service at the American-Legion Post #192 in Evans, GA
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the loving care provided to Ronnie.
