Augusta, GA - Ronald James Poharski, 54, entered into rest on November 2, 2023, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 1 p.m. in North Augusta, SC.

Mr. Poharski was born April 22, 1969, in Nanticoke, PA to Mr. Martin and Christine (Sokolnicki) Poharski of Ninety-Six, South Carolina. Ron and his family resided in Slocum Township, Pennsylvania before relocating to sunnier weather in North Augusta, South Carolina.

He is an alumni of Crestwood High School in Mountaintop Pa and Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke, PA, with earned associate degrees in Commercial Art and Business Management. He held various positions in the Warehouse, Distribution, and Transportation Management Industries, including management positions at Fabri-Kal, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, and Henningsen Cold Storage companies.

Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Renee Poharski (Heck), and Daughters Madison (Samual) Montoya of Atlanta, GA, and Lauren (Charles) Gardner of Norfolk, VA. His parents, Martin and Christine (Sokolnicki) of Ninety-Six SC. And his sister Susan (Daren) Eroh, with nephews Amsey Eroh and Ethan Eroh of Brimfield, MA. Mother-in-law Rose (late Robert Sr.) Heck of Wilkes Barre, PA. Brother-in-law Robert (Tina) Heck of Mountaintop, PA, Ronald (Brenda) Heck of Nanticoke, PA, and Richard (Sheila) Heck of Plains, PA. Nieces Samantha (Adam) Bogumil of Rock Hill, SC, Alexandra Heck of Plains, PA, and Melissa Grabinski of Allentown, PA. Nephews Ryan (Michelle) Heck of Mountaintop, PA. and Noah Heck of Van Buren Twp, Michigan.

Ron Poharski was a loving and supportive provider for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, friendship, and hard work. Ron left his love for art, woodworking, and cars (esp. Cameros) behind but only to be shared equally by his daughters. And for his works of art and woodwork, he left behind to be admired by his wife.
