Ronald J. St. Onge

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, May 8th, 2023, Mr. Ronald James St. Onge, age 89, loving husband of thirty years to Mrs. Maryan Doris St. Onge.
Ron was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Augusta in 1983. He worked at Plant Vogtle as a plant manager, and for thirteen years as a building inspector for Columbia County, retiring at the age of 79. He was a faithful member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Patrick Walsh Council. Ron loved travel, spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Bullet. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Richard St. Onge; daughter: Diane St. Onge; brother: James E. St. Onge (Jane); sister: Mary Jo Jewell (Donald); stepsons: John Flythe (Mandy) and Jay Flythe; and grandchildren: Brian St. Onge, Brad St. Onge, Jennifer Rey, Tamsynn Storin, Ronald Rodriguez, Hailey Flythe, and Andrew Flythe; seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward James St. Onge and Geneveve McNulty St. Onge; brother: Donald St. Onge; daughter: Constance Jensynn, and granddaughter: Breanna St. Onge.

The funeral Mass will be Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Ross as celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

A Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at St. Mary and the family will receive friends following in the vestibule.
