Dearing, GA – Went to heaven to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2010, Mrs. Roxie Gay, 71, of Dearing, GA.
Mrs. Gay was a native of Wrens, GA. She was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County in 1958. She married, moved to Wrens, GA and started a family. Mrs. Gay worked in Civil Service at Fort Gordon for 26 years. Her happiest moments in life were spent with her children and grandchildren.
Family members include son: David Gay (Michelle) of North Carolina, Larry D. Gay of Augusta, and daughter: Donna Williams (Alex) of Dearing, GA, grandchildren: Lauren, Dusty, Trace, Ashley, Jessica, Brittany, Rob, Devin and Dalton, sisters: Betty Gain (Howard), of FL, Ruth Ann Dunbar (Charles) of SC, brother: Larry Johnson (Jennette) of GA and Billy Johnson of SC.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in Westview Cemetery with Rev. Chris New officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Roxie.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
