Mr. Vernon lived in Augusta for most of his life and was in the funeral business for 40 years. He was a member of the fire department for 30 years.
Family members include sons: Jeffery Vernon of Martinez, GA and Randall Vernon of McDonough, GA; brother: Everett Vernon (Barbara) of Paruma, OH; uncles: Leonard Edwards of Leah, GA and Donald “Skeet” Edwards of Augusta, GA; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews
The funeral service will be private.
