Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, February 17, 2011, Mr. Roy Wireman, Jr., 82, husband of Joyce Bentley Wireman.
Mr. Wireman was a native of McRoberts Kentucky, having made Augusta his home for the past 47 years. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he had served as deacon. Mr. Wireman was a US Army veteran of WWII and Korea, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for courageous action in battle. He later became an accomplished real estate agent, working for Leonard Lifsey Realty, Jack Bowles Realty, partnering with Hawk, Simpson and Wireman Realty, and owner of Roy Wireman Realty.
Family members in addition to his wife include son: Roy L. Wireman (Judy), grandson: Roy A. Wireman (Casey), sister in-law: Charlene Wireman, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Gordon Robinson officiating. Interment will be held at Westover Memorial Park with full military honors. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bill Evans Sunday School Class.

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to his many caregivers at Golden Living Augusta, The Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home and to University Hospital.
