Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, April 6, 2013, Mrs. Ruby Burch Middleton, 94, wife of the late Hugh C. Middleton.
Mrs. Middleton was a native of Newton County and came to Augusta in 1951. She worked as a bookkeeper for Georgia Carolina Brick Co. and Merry Brothers Brick Co. where she retired in 1985. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and was a member of the French Bible Class.
Family members include step-daughter: Virginia Middleton Brown; step-son: Hugh C. Middleton, Jr.; granddaughters: Rhonda Wright, Louise Burns Bates; step granddaughter: Tyler Middleton; step grandson: Zachary Middleton; 3 great grandchildren: Joshua Wright, Ashlynn Brianna Wright; great great grandchild: Landon Pitts; and nieces: Pat Traylor and Beth Jones. She is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Burns and daughter, Barbara Burns Wallace.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet with Rev. Charles Broome officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2367 Washington Rd., Augusta, GA 30904.
