Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, June 17, 2016, Mrs. Ruby Marie Proctor, 91, loving wife of 39 years to the late Adolph Carroll Proctor, Sr.
Mrs. Proctor was a 1941 graduate of Lincoln County High School. She was very proud of working in the shipyards and with the USO during World War II. She was a bookkeeper at Cullum’s Department Store for 20 years and was also the co-owner of A.C. Proctor’s Paint & Body Shop for 50 years. Mrs. Proctor was a seven time cancer survivor.
Family members include her son: A. Carroll Proctor, Jr. (Caroline) of Martinez; and grandchildren: Ashleigh Caroline Proctor and Andrew Carroll Proctor.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be the staff of A.C. Proctor’s Paint & Body Shop.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.
