Martinez, GA – Ruby M. Waters, 93, went to her heavenly home on December 8, 2020 at her residence while surrounded by her family.

Ruby was a native of Newton Grove, NC but called Augusta her home since 1960. She was a devoted member of Christway Christian Church.

After retirement, Ruby loved going to lunch every day with her girlfriends, attending church and spending quality time with her family.

Ruby is survived by her son: Larry Waters (Terry); her daughters: Pat Boeglen (Jay) and Shelley Callander (Bruce); daughter-in-law: Nancy Waters; brothers: Charles and Dewey and sisters: Mary Lee and Elease. In addition to her children, she was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Ruby was predeceased by her husband, William Henry (Pete) Waters and her son, Gary Waters.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Pruitt Hospice for the outstanding care they provided to Ruby. A special thank you goes to Marty, Donna, Angie, Bim and Lisa for their compassion and support.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Christway Christian Church, 4004 Prescott Drive, Augusta, Georgia with Rev. Barry Clanton officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00-1:00. The family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing practiced during the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Christway Christian Church, 4004 Prescott Drive, Augusta, Ga 30907.
