Martinez, GA – Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Mrs. Ruby Williams Young, 99.

Ruby was born in Parrish, Florida, was a longtime resident of Bradenton and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida. Ruby was a Florida State University graduate in the early 1940s majoring in teaching. After retiring as an elementary school teacher, Ruby operated a children’s nursery at her home. She was an astute businesswoman. Ruby enjoyed genealogy and researching family history and was an avid reader.

Family members include her daughters: Karen Clark (Mark), Linda Lavender; grandchildren: Kaitlyn Taylor (Brent), Caroline Clark, Andrew Lavender (Pao) and Rachel Lavender and her son Rourke. Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband: Fred Young; and brothers: Wesley Williams, Glen Williams, and Les Williams.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. with a brief Celebration of Life at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. John Franks officiating at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors.
