Augusta, GA – Mr. Rufus O. Davis, 59, entered into rest Sunday, September 27, 2015 due to a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Davis was a native of Columbia, SC. He was raised and lived his life here in Augusta. He was an avid animal lover and he adored his dog, Snowball. Mr. Davis retired from the trucking business after 22 years of service.
Family members include his mother: Viola Davis; daughters: Cindy Rigdon (Randall) and Jennifer Davis; son: Scott Davis (Hedi); 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers: Tony Davis (Cindy) and Rex Davis; sisters: Peggy Delware (Mike), Mattie Davis, Karen Roland (Robert), and Lisa Davis (Rudy); numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Rufus Davis, sister Bonnie McClellan, and son Jay Davis.
A memorial service will be Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Columbia County Humane Society, P.O. Box 204771, Martinez, GA 30907.
