Runelle Elizabeth Childs

Martinez, GA – Mrs. Runelle Elizabeth Childs entered into rest at her home surrounded by family and loved ones on October 20, 2011.

Mrs. Childs is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bobby D. Childs and her three children Steve Childs (Pam) of Martinez, GA, Vicki Courtney (Tim) of Evans, GA, Chris Childs (Lisa) of Evans, GA. She was affectionately known as “Momma Nell” to Miki Bryce (Wyche) of Yatkinsville, NC. Mrs. Childs was a loving grandmother to Rob Minton (Tara), Russell Minton (Beth), Jessica Bell, David Childs, Taylor Childs, Dylan Courtney, and Rebekah Childs and five great grandchildren. She was a faithful sister to Betty Mize (Arvil) of Toccoa, GA, Jim Howard (Evelyn) of Diamond, MO, Helen Payne (Melvin) of Toccoa, GA. Mrs. Childs is also survived by Barbara Childs who has been a caring and devoted sister-in-law of 54 years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Sarah Howard, as well as her sister, Sybil Howard.

Mrs. Childs was a long time and faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church of Martinez; she was also a member of Trinity Ladies Sunday School Class.

Her celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with the Reverend K.C. Stevens officiating. Interment will be private. Pallbears will be Roej English, Rob Minton, Russell Minton, Bob Minton, David Childs, Dylan Courtney and Patrick Bagwell.
