Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Ruth B. Jopling, 89, wife of the late Richard Wallace Jopling.
Mrs. Jopling was a native of Sardis, GA and resided in Martinez. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Mrs. Jopling retired as a Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration.
Family members include her daughters: Marianne Jopling of Martinez, Bonnie Zettler (Herschel) of Augusta; grandchildren: Elizabeth Joy Zettler, Richard Ellis Zettler; and sister, Esther Bonnell Jones of Evans.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Jim McCollough officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Herschel Zettler, Ellis Zettler, Alan Fowler, Alan Dye, and Richard Sturgis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Turner-England Fellowship Class.
Memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 2220 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
