Appling, GA – Mrs. Ruth Luke Stacks, affectionately known to all her family and friends as Mimi, entered into rest Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Lake Crossing Health Center. She was 94 years old.
Mimi was born in Langley, South Carolina but spent all of her adult life in Augusta. She worked in the medical field for over 45 years. She was a kind and loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Mimi loved to cook and bake cakes for everyone. She was a born again Christian and faithful to her Lord.
Family members include daughter: Mrs. Sylvia S. Hamby (Majors); sons: Gerald B. Stacks and Thomas E. Stacks (Janet); 9 grandchildren: and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Stacks was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Frank and Mrs. Hattie Luke and her beloved husband Mr. Jeff E. Stacks.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 3:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor Tommy Stacks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Lakewood Crossing for their compassionate and attentive care of our beloved Mimi.
