Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, September 25, 2012, Mrs. Ruth Porter-Vallois, 63, wife of Mr. Joseph H. Vallois.

Mrs. Porter-Vallois was a great mother to all children and a loving wife to both of her husbands. She was a Burn Technician at Doctors Hospital where she loved to take care of her patients. Mrs. Porter-Vallois favorite hobby was gardening. She could be found most of the time in her garden where she enjoyed taking care of her plants.

Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Kemp Strickland (Ellen) of Grovetown, GA, Mike Strickland of Martinez; daughter: Deanine Wisnieski (Dale) of Thomson, GA; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brothers: James Snipes and George Snipes. Mrs. Porter-Vallois was preceded in death by her husband George Robert “Hoss” Porter.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012, 12:00 P.M. at the home of Mrs. Porter-Vallois daughter at 3996 Cobbham Road, Thomson, GA 30824.

The family requests no flowers be sent; in lieu of please make memorial contributions to Joseph M. Still Burn Unit at 3614 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Building C, Augusta, GA 30909.
