Samuel Pinson III
Augusta, GA – Mr. Samuel William “Sam” Pinson III, age 54, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Georgia Health Sciences University Hospital.
Mr. Pinson was born in Augusta, GA. and was the son of Elizabeth Sellers Pinson and the late Samuel William Pinson, Jr.
He served as a devoted acolyte for many years at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and was the lead crucifer at the Installation of the Bishop of Georgia. He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond. He then received his Associate in Engineering and became a Sales Engineer for several companies. He lived in Decatur, GA for many years and had recently moved back to Augusta.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Sellers Pinson Bebbington.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s Churchyard with The Rev. Dr. Roderic L. Murray III officiating. Mrs. Bebbington will receive friends following the graveside service.
If so desired, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 605 Reynolds Street, Augusta,Ga 30901.
