Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, December 27, 2013, Mrs. Sandra Faye Gibbs McAree, 76, wife of the late Mr. Charles McAree.
Mrs. McAree was a 50 year resident of Arlington, VA. She was raised in Moline, IL by Wilburn and Robbie Gibbs, where she graduated in 1955 from Moline High School. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Family members include daughter Traci Kuntzelman Valerio (Paul) of Augusta, GA; grandchildren: Benjamin, Michael and Elizabeth; brother: Donald R. Gibbs (Larita); several nieces and nephews; stepchildren: Cynthia Kuntzelman Price (Pat), Charles McAree, Jr. (Cynthia), Terry McAree (Teresa), Torry McAree Clark (Jamie), Megan McAree Stanley (William), Erin McAree Duffey (Patrick); 16 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2013 at Martinez Bible Chapel at 11:00 AM. A celebration of her life will also be held in Arlington, VA on February 1, 2014.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the cure Breast Cancer Foundation at PO Box 96216, Washington, DC 20090.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
