Mechanicsville, MD – Sarah Annie Ricketson, 93 of Mechanicsville, Maryland passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Center. She was born on April 6, 1928 in Bath, South Carolina to the late John Lewis Ricketson and Martha Louise DeVaney Robertson. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband: William Ricketson; brothers: Aaron, Jean and William Robertson and sister: Muriel Robertson Allen.
Annie was a long-time member and served both Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church and Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and enjoyed singing in the choir. She worked for Lily Cup, Augusta Water Utility Company on Peach Orchard Road and at the Masters Golf Tournament. She was known for her pear relish, black walnut poundcake and her special deviled eggs. Annie crocheted many beautiful afghans and baby blankets for friends and family.
She is survived by daughter: Nancy Tuemler (Dan) Hayman of Marion, Ohio; son: Dave (Bonnie) Tuemler of Mechanicsville, Maryland; grandchildren: Dana (Bill) Daughtery of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Lara (Shannon) Ritch of Phoenix, Arizona; SMSgt Joshua (Sarah) Hayman of Westerville, Ohio, Michael Jean (Lorraine) Tuemler and Jason Tuemler of Leonardtown, Maryland and eight great grandchildren.
