Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, March 28, 2014, Sarah Conner, 91, wife of 62 years to the late Hubert Conner.
Mrs. Conner was a member of Martinez Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She worked at several cleaners in Augusta, Taylor’s, Master’s and Whitehouse. She loved her church and Sunday school class.
Family members include daughters: Pam Brigham (Randy) of Evans, GA, Diane Rooks (Ron) of Duluth, GA; sons: Jimmy Conner (Nancy) of Peachtree City, GA; Emory Conner (Patsy) of Anderson, SC; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and niece: Myra Hair (Roy) of Harlem, GA. She is preceded in death by her nephew, Jack Horne.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 31, 2014, 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Phillip A. Winsett officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include her grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Dr. Paul Fischer and members of the Faith Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
