Scott East

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, January 18, 2025, William Scott East, 52, loving husband of 24 years to Erin East. 

Scott was a devoted Dungeons and Dragons player. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle who was known affectionately as “Grumpy” by his honorary grandchildren. 

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Virginia East Rice (Jacob), Katherine East, and Joseph East; mother: Annie Lou East; siblings: Evelyn Boyer, Pauline Crutchfield, and Vince Perry (Julie); The Sages: Henry, Jeffrey, Eric, Terry, Tim, Connor, T, and Jansen; 6 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, William E. East. 

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Doctors Hospital ICU Room 14 Team for their compassionate care of Scott.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
